My name is Heather Butcher, True inspiration married to Mr. Vernon Butcher.
I am also known as True Inspirations my writer's name having self-published my first book on Amazon.
I share my autobiography of some of my life journey notably some of the mental health issues I had encountered soon after the birth of my daughter.
Mental health and well-being are one of my passions, especially in our African Caribbean community. The fact that we have had additional issues of racism, cultural background issues have challenged our mental health well-being in areas of the employment sector, parliamentary platforms. In some cases, our financial status as well as how well represented we are in the United Kingdom has always been a concern.
As we aim higher to refocus and redirect our backgrounds to success as we journey from Windrush to Black Lives matter we will step forward knowing that we are not forgotten leaving a legacy for our younger generation to aspire to.
My daughter is currently working in London for London City Missions in management. In the drive for aspiring to be the best that she can be, she herself has achieved after university.
I am sure that many of our younger generations will use this time of COVID-19 to push their gifts and talents to be the best - our Black Lives do matter in our social status in Modern Britain.
Recognising our past is one way of knowing ourselves however challenging and working towards our future is the journey we all need to make together in the diverse UK learning as well as moving on and forward together with respect.
Keep the Faith Magazine in London has also helped me to market this book to which is now available on Amazon. Having supported orphanages in Zimbabwe with the African Christian Fellowship, this book has also been used as a fundraising strategy in Reading Berks UK.
I have continued writing freelance with a second book soon available for publication hopefully by the end of this year.
