*SAVE BRIDGE PARK HARLESDEN*

Bridge Park was founded by the Harlesden People's Community Council (HPCC). The HPCC, a cooperative formed in 1981, transformed a disused bus garage into Bridge Park, establishing it as Europe's largest Black-led community enterprise. This transformation occurred between 1982 and 1988. The HPCC's efforts were a response to the 1981 uprisings.

BRIDGE PARK founded (by HPCC) in the 1980s, purchased then legally covenanted to the Black community as their Enterprise Centre, is being demolished by Brent Council and private partners.

The Black community is fighting to at least secure Heritage status.

We, the BPCC community, had been winning in the ownership fight, until that fatal last minute change.... 🤫🫥
