Bringing together Reading's community groups, charities, friends and neighbours taking action on loneliness and social isolation.
There will be a range of speakers from local VCOs with a specific remit around mental health to:
explore what we mean when we say 'mental health' and what conditions it includes
explain their offer and how people can access their services
feed back on what their service users are saying about Reading's offer around loneliness and whether it is meeting their needs
look at how VCO staff and volunteers (in non-mental health specialist VCOs) can spot the signs of and risk factors for mental ill-health and encourage people to access support
